I tend to whine a lot … why is it always me I ask ? Well today someone proved that perhaps it isn’t always me …. others obviously cop the shit as well.
Lots of men wear their loyalties for all to see on ball caps . Walk into the grocery store and half the men have baseball hats on showing past military affiliations , NRA membership , love of past Presidents and even sports teams . Like the guy in front of us at the check out this morning .
He was mumbling and grumbling at the the disinterested checkout girl and I was just as disinterested in what the man in the pretty hat had to say . My feelings at the moment was for Gods Sake pay up and move on , if ya got a whine and a piss and moan then write a blog like I do so I can get out of here . But then I caught what he was going on about .
He was crying about an online purchase that had gone wrong and suddenly he had my sympathetic ear, that of a kindred spirit and brother victim of today’s advancements and online purchases gone wrong . I asked whats up ….
” $24 bucks for a custom hat and look how they spell Miami ” he said pointing to his baseball hat .
The hat was actually a very well done example of a professional job in embroidery and at first glance I would deem it a worthy looking example of twenty four dollars well spent to display the mans loyalty to his favorite baseball team ….
