Once in a while you’ll witness a cat chase his own tail . Suddenly one will actually catch it and then know not what to do. I think we’ve just witnessed that with Texas …. poor Texas.
Texas is a big place filled with big people who loudly cheered when a recent President claimed we need to eliminate regulations … Texans it would seem embraced the mantra of less regulation, less government intrusion and don’t step on my personal freedoms by God because I’m now carrying a gun .
Yet, Texas has recently surpassed everyone else in its creation of new laws . I might agree with one or two of their multitudes of new voting laws but what really interests me is Mexico’s reaction to the new regs on abortion in Texas. You see, Mexico immediately decriminalized abortion right over the border.
The Latin world is unlikely to ever forgive a slight and I’m betting they’re not forgetting the insults of them being bull horned to the world by a recent President of the United States . I can already see in my minds eye a whole new cottage industry springing to “life” , so to speak, as little clinics mushroom just south of the border. Not to mention a sudden increase in cross border “tourism” headed south .
Won’t be long before throngs of pot bellied Texas women are standing at the wall chanting ….
” Build a Gate ! Build a Gate ! Build a Gate ! “
Mexico will tell the world they will build a “big beautiful gate” , and America is going to pay for it.
Oh…. on the uptick, All those jobs created at the new “clinics” will negate any need for their employees to cross over the border and pick our lettuce. All sounds like a win, …. doesn’t it?
